Our 2025 Bible reading plan will be published in stages throughout the year and will complement the sermon texts with additional reading while also normally having 2 promise/fulfillment passages that trace the redemptive narrative of Scripture each week.
As we begin our series on James, we will read the book of James every other week and also the Sermon on the Mount every other week. There are echoes of the Sermon on the Mount throughout the book of James. We will also work through Deuteronomy twice. Deuteronomy is a summary of the Law and frequently repeats the blessing and cursings motif for the people of God. Christ quoted regularly from Deuteronomy and fulfilled the Law in our place, but in Christ we are still called to love God and others while practicing our faith as the people of God.
